As a part of our wellbeing offering, we are very happy to welcome The Schools Counselling Partnership (SCP) to Stanhope Primary School with effect September 2023. In partnership with our school the SCP work to improve the emotional wellbeing of children, parents and staff by working with the whole school community.
Supporting children, families and staff at Stanhope Primary School
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected everyone in our community, for many of us it has impacted our emotional health and wellbeing. The SCP specialise in providing therapeutic counselling services supporting children, young people, schools and families. We challenge the ‘norm’ and have successfully improved the life chances of the children we work with.
Our Philosophy:
We take a holistic approach to working with children, young people, families and staff in schools.
Our services:
One to one support and a lunch time drop in for children, support for parents and carers, support for staff and also training for staff.
Children and young people: if you are struggling with anxiety, have experienced bereavement or had family breakdown, we are here to support you.
Parents: if you are worried about your child, how to support them with their anxieties, their behaviour and emotional wellbeing, we are here to support you
